Rick Shaefer

Artist Rick Shaefer, perhaps best known for his remarkable works in charcoal on vellum, lives in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Rick Shaefer was born in West Point, New York, and traveled a lot as part of a military family, growing up mostly in Europe. Early on he was introduced to European landscapists. Rick studied Painting at Duke University and Photography at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California, and moved to New York as a photographer. Works include paintings, drawings, etchings, and life-size charcoal drawings.
